Theme Builder Overview
Build site-wide headers, footers, archive layouts, single post templates, and more using Protuno's Theme Builder.
The Protuno Theme Builder lets you design global site templates using the same Proton widget you use on pages. A header, footer, single post template, or archive layout you build here applies automatically to every matching page on your site — no shortcodes, no per-page setup required.
What is the Theme Builder
The Theme Builder lets you design global templates for every part of your WordPress site, not just individual pages. Go to Protuno → Theme Builder to access it.
The page header reads:
"Build your site's header, footer, archive, single, search and 404 templates with Protuno."
Conflict notice
If you have another theme builder active on your site, such as Elementor Pro or Nexter, Protuno shows this notice at the top:
"Another theme builder is active (Elementor Pro, Nexter). Protuno won't disable it, avoid activating a Protuno header/footer at the same time to prevent a duplicate."
This means both builders can coexist, but you should not have a header or footer active in both at the same time or it will appear twice on the front end.
Template types
Click + Add New to see all the template types you can create:

| 404 Page | Your custom not-found page |
Filtering templates
Use the filter tabs, All, Header, Footer, Single (Post / Page), Archive, Single Product, Products Archive, Search Results, 404 Page, to view templates by type.
When no templates exist for a type, the list shows "No [type] templates yet."
Grid and Canvas views
The Theme Builder offers two ways to view your templates, toggled with the Grid / Canvas buttons in the top right corner:
Grid view
Displays your templates as a list or card grid. This is the default view and the best place to manage, edit, and delete templates.
Canvas view
Displays a visual site map showing how your templates are connected across your site structure. Shows "Loading site map…" while it builds the map. Use Full screen to expand it. This view is read-only, editing is done from Grid view.
